Traditionally, kung pao is a Chinese dish made in the Sichuan style, read: spicy. We have included 2 Thai chiles in this recipe, and encourage you to use as much as you’d like. Pineapple is our natural way to add a sweetness, a counterbalance to shiso, an earthy Japanese herb.
