Prepare the vegetables

Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel and mince the garlic. Pick the thyme leaves. TIP: You will use the remaining ¾ onion from the Pantry Kit to make the Quinoa Stuffed Delicata Squash with Garlicky Kale & Golden Raisins.

Cook the aromatics

Add diced onion, minced garlic, and butter to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook until onion is softened, 2 to 3 minutes.

Finish the gravy

Add flour. Cook, stirring frequently, about 1 minute. Add 1 cup water and the bouillon cube. Reduce heat to low and simmer until gravy thickens, 5 to 7 minutes. Add thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
