A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
I was a pharmaceutical executive who, at age 40, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. I was miserable and in a lot of pain. Medicine couldn’t cure me. My life began to grind to a halt. Then I discovered the power of plants.
At the same time, I was taking a deeper look into the food I ate. I learned that to make one hamburger, you need a whole tanker truck of water—not to mention more greenhouse gasses than are made during a family road trip. I’ve got kids and that made me think about the world I was leaving for them.
I came to understand that plants don’t just have the power to heal our bodies—they have the power to delight our tastebuds and make a better world for future generations.
That’s why I started Purple Carrot. So that millions of other people can discover how eating delicious plant-based meals, even if it’s just a couple times a week, can improve the overall quality of your life.
