Bake the cashews

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Spread the cashews on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted, about 8 to 10 minutes. Do not discard parchment paper.

Prepare the sauce

In a large bowl, whisk the maple syrup, toasted sesame oil, tamari and a pinch of salt.

Soak the cashews in sauce

Add the roasted cashews to the large bowl with the tamari sauce and toss to evenly coat. Let soak to absorb flavors, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Final touches

Spread the cashews back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until evenly brown, tossing halfway through the cook time, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Once done, let cashews sit to cool and harden. Enjoy!
