  4. 2 tbsp tamari
  5. 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  6. Parchment paper
  7. Salt

TOOLS

  • Baking sheet

INSTRUCTIONS

1
Bake the cashews

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Spread the cashews on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted, about 8 to 10 minutes. Do not discard parchment paper.

2
Prepare the sauce

In a large bowl, whisk the maple syrup, toasted sesame oil, tamari and a pinch of salt.

3
Soak the cashews in sauce

Add the roasted cashews to the large bowl with the tamari sauce and toss to evenly coat. Let soak to absorb flavors, about 2 to 3 minutes.

4
Final touches

Spread the cashews back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until evenly brown, tossing halfway through the cook time, about 15 to 20 minutes.

5
Let cool and eat

Once done, let cashews sit to cool and harden. Enjoy!
