Sesame Tamari Cashews
Why buy tamari cashews or almonds at the store when you can make your own at home? Starting with raw cashews, these little snacks are loaded with flavors of tamari, sesame, and sweet maple.

- 2 cups raw cashews
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp tamari
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Parchment paper
- Salt

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Spread the cashews on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted, about 8 to 10 minutes. Do not discard parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk the maple syrup, toasted sesame oil, tamari and a pinch of salt.
Add the roasted cashews to the large bowl with the tamari sauce and toss to evenly coat. Let soak to absorb flavors, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Spread the cashews back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until evenly brown, tossing halfway through the cook time, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Once done, let cashews sit to cool and harden. Enjoy!
