Make the cranberry sauce

Place a medium saucepan over medium-high heat with ¾ cup water and the turbinado sugar. Bring to a boil, add the cranberries and return to a boil, cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cover until the sauce cools to room temperature. Place in the fridge until serving. TIP: Be sure to reserve 1 cup of cranberries for the Pear Cranberry Crisp dessert!
